Exams

Regular exams are crucial to catching small issues before they become large ones. By the time a tooth hurts, it is often too late to save it! At an exam we use high magnification lenses to view the teeth and gums in fine detail. Let’s catch issues before they become painful and expensive to fix!

Fillings

Fillings remove tooth structure that is ruined by bacterial infection or breakage. With our electrically driven hand pieces and minimally invasive technique, we preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible. The ruined tooth structure is then replaced with a tooth color composite filling material to restore esthetics and function.

Extractions

Sometimes there is nothing that can be done to save a tooth, or for other various reasons, the best thing to do is get rid of it. In these instances we provide extractions with as much care and as little discomfort as possible.

Gum Disease / Periodontal Treatment

Perio (around) - Dontal (teeth) treatment is treatment of the areas around the teeth. Most often this involves loss of the supporting bone structure around teeth. This bone structure is often lost as part of the body’s defense mechanism to the chronic build up of plaque and bacteria. To slow or stop this disease, increased frequency and depth of cleanings is required. Improved home care is also a key component to successful treatment.

Cleanings

Brushing and flossing 3x/day keeps plaque away! But even with great oral hygiene there are some areas that a tooth brush just can’t reach. With our specialized instruments we will remove the plaque and calculus build up that eventually leads to cavities and gum disease.

crown logo-black.png

Crowns / Caps

When most of a tooth’s structure has been lost, or when the tooth is cracking, a crown is often the treatment of choice. Crowns strengthen severely weakened teeth by evenly distributing chewing forces across the tooth and acting like a belt that cinches the tooth back together.

Root Canal

When a cavity / infection reaches the nerve of the tooth it can become very painful. In these cases, cleaning out the infected tissue from the inside of the tooth and rinsing it with a sterilizing solution can relieve the pain and preserve the remaining tooth structure for later restoration.

Dentures

Dentures are a great way to economically fill large spaces of missing teeth and restore esthetics. While they are not as stable as bridges or implants, they are still much better than having no teeth at all.

X-rays

X-rays are a key diagnostic tool in every dental office. Areas where teeth touch and are below the gums can’t be seen with direct vision. X-rays can spot problems in these areas while they’re still small and easy to fix. And with today’s technology, the radiation dose is minuscule; less than 1.6% of the average daily dose from normal sources such as the sun.

Bridges

Bridges are an option for replacing a missing tooth if there are two natural teeth on either side of the space. Bridges are a great alternative to a partial denture because they are permanently attached and much more comfortable. However, it is important to consider the length of the open span, and the health of the teeth on either side of the open space.

implant logo-black.png

Implants

Implants are an excellent option for replacing a missing tooth or providing support for a denture. A titanium implant body is placed into the supporting bone and allowed to heal for three to six months. This implant body can then be used to support a permanent replacement tooth or removable denture.
